Gary Numan - Mod Club - August 4

Yes, the master of synth-pop who brought you "Cars" back in the late 70s is still alive and performing. He brought his band to the Mod Club last night as part of the tour promoting his latest CD, Jagged.

It was probably in the early 80s that I first saw Numan. I'm not even sure he had a back-up band then... just a stage full of keyboards and synthesizers. His musical style hasn't changed much over the years, so if you liked him then, you'll like him now, and vice versa.

You'll probably be disappointed in my photos again (see She Wants Revenge post). Still experimenting with going flash-less with the digicam, and this time I shot from the Mod Club's second floor. More distance, more blur! Oh well. I promise to do better next time. Have a look anyway and sample "Haunted" from Jagged.
