She Wants Revenge - Phoenix - August 2, 2006

By now you should have picked up on the fact that I'm into all kinds of music... from punk to folk and everything in between. I generally draw the line though at dance music, because it doesn't seem to have a function other than providing a monotonous beat.

She Wants Revenge, to me, come very close to dance music, but also provide clever, punchy lyrics that keep you listening whether you're on a dance floor or not.

This is a California-based duo with a few back-up musicians that they may well pick up here and there along the tour.

Anyway, they were definitely worth seeing last night. The pics may not be the greatest, because I was experimenting with what I could capture on my digital camera without using the flash. More colourful... yes. More blurry... yes.

As usual, I've parked a tune, in this case, "(I want to fucking-) Tear You Apart", along with the slide show. Start the music and let the dozen or so pics roll by a few times.
